Ms. Gibas runs the Student Ambassador Program at Frost. These students play an essential role in ensuring new students feel connected to the school community. She spends numerous hours training these selected students in leadership and team building skills, building tours that highlight essential information, and preparing transition activities. Student ambassadors welcomed parents at Back to School Night with their “need help” signs, providing directions and warm smiles. They also worked closely with Ms. Gibas to plan the New 8th Grade Orientation in August. This year, Ms. Gibas also arranged for the student ambassadors to participate in the new student socials during Falcon Focus. These students definitely helped some shy students engage and have fun! The most important, ongoing role is the tour/schedule assistance each ambassador gives a new student on his or her first day. Ms. Gibas pays special attention to student interests and needs when pairing these students. We are lucky to have Ms. Gibas and appreciate all her time and energy she spends with our ambassadors and the impact they have on so many at Frost!"
