This Week at Frost June 5
Frost Student National Spotlight
Grant K., who is an 8th grader at Frost, is featured on CBS Sunday Morning social media sites today!
In case you aren't familiar, it’s a TV show that’s been on for decades and has a famous intro song called Abblasen by Gottfried Reiche normally played by a trumpeter. Recently they asked for submissions from musicians of the theme song and Grant submitted and he was selected! He won’t be on the Sunday morning show, but this morning he is featured on their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. You can just search “CBS Sunday Morning” on any of these social media sites. He’s pretty excited about it as are we :) I just thought I would share this fun news with you!

The PTA is grateful for your support this year!
We are hopeful that the yearbooks will be in before our student item distribution next week! We have been in constant communication with the vendor. They have reported the delivery should be here this weekend. We have attempted to delay the return of student items because of the delay in yearbook availability. We will go ahead with the item retrieval plan as advertised. Keep your fingers crossed. If there are more delays, information will be sent out to the community.
Student Item Pickup Reminders
Next Monday begins our student item pickup process. Don’t forget to read the communication that has gone out earlier this week. We are really excited, as I am sure your children are, to be able to return everyone’s belongings. Don’t forget to practice social distancing and to try not to have students come by themselves to pick up belongings. Some of the lockers are extremely full and will be hard to carry home by one person. In addition, don’t forget to pack your vehicle with items to return to the school. One of the days for pickup is Wednesday, a synchronous instruction day. We encourage students to participate in class as opposed to coming to the school that day. You may choose another day to come in or just come alone to avoid students missing class!
What are students learning?
This is the last weekly edition of the What are Students Learning communication! Hopefully you will be able to see all of the great things students are learning in their classes!
