This Week at Frost May 18
Dear Frost MS Students and Families,
Thanks so much for all of your efforts to recognize our faculty and staff for Teacher Appreciation Week! The staff is still raving about the cool ways the Frost Middle School community recognized their hard work and efforts.
The time has come for us to begin the process of distributing student belongings from Frost Middle School. The next couple of weeks will be spent by Frost staff collecting and labeling items from hall lockers and gym lockers. We will also work to communicate with families who have medication in the clinic. For safety reasons, we will be collecting the items, bagging the items, and labeling for students and families to pickup by appointment. More information will be forthcoming once this process has been completed.
The next Virtual Parent Coffee will be next Tuesday, May 21st at 6 pm. The last one was extremely productive and informative! Thanks again to the leadership of the Frost MS PTA for their work in collaborating with us to get this started! The link is provided below:

Now that we're getting the routine down for the core classes, encourage your students to add the electives back into their day! Don’t forget that students are expected to complete work for all classes, including those that are not held synchronously. Elective teachers are assigning work that is posted electronically each week. Teachers will be following up with students and families if work is not being completed.
None of us expected this. We never thought we would find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic, navigating this new road and learning new terms like social distancing. But here we are...adjusting and learning as we go while trying to manage all of the stress and anxiety this has produced.
It is in times like these that our own self-care becomes extremely important, perhaps even crucial. In order to be there for others, we must be sure to be there for ourselves…making it a necessity, not a luxury. If we can make self-care a priority, it will be our best stress management tool to guard against becoming worn down and physically depleted. Find more information here.
We have scheduled Mondays between 10-12:00 PM for laptop/Mifi switch out/repair days. Please use the following link to schedule an appointment: signup genius Make sure you have your child or their log in information with you when you come as the laptops will need to be logged on to our network before you can take it home for use.
To adhere to the health guidelines put forth by the Fairfax County Health Department, we must have appointments 15 minutes apart from each other. Also, per the health department guidelines, the student and their family members must be able to answer “NO” to the following questions the day of your scheduled appointment.
Please be honest in your answers as it protects both you and our tech repair team. Should the student, their family or the tech repair team answer “YES” to any one of these questions, the appointment will need to be rescheduled. If you need to reschedule, please use the link above to change your appointment date/time or email us for additional information at @email

FROST Virtual After-School Activities
FCPS Middle School After-School has put together several virtual after-school activities to engage middle school students in the arts, music, STEM, physical fitness, cooking, games, puzzles, literature, and more – things students can do at home.
Frost students can access these virtual after-school activities by joining the "FROST MS After-School @ Home" Google Classroom. The classroom code is: krdmmx3
Once your student has joined the classroom, there are a variety of activities (topics) they can choose from in the "Classwork" tab. We hope your students enjoy this site, and that it helps them actively pursue their interests during this time of social distancing. If you or your student have ideas for other activities, please email your @email or use the "FCPS MS @ Home Interest Form" located on the classroom home page.
Be Safe! Be Active! And know that we are here for you and your family!
Virtual Coffee Nights- Mark your calendars!
We will be hosting a series of Virtual Coffees! We are looking forward to seeing families and answering questions they might have during this time.
