Rising 7th Grade Parent Orientation

Beginning at 6:00pm there will be a general information about Frost MS and the rising 7th grade course registration process.  Following the presentation, parents of students receiving services in Special Education, English Language Learner, and Advanced Academics programs are invited to attend additional information sessions.  Elective teachers will also be available from 7-8pm with class displays and to answer questions.

Elementary School Visits

Frost counselors visit elementary schools for an introduction to Frost MS and to distribute course selection materials.

Rising 7th Grade Students Elementary Schools

Elective and Frost School Tour

Rising 7th grade students from feeder elementary schools will come to Frost to hear a brief presentation, take a tour with Frost Student Ambassadors, and have an opportunity to view different elective classes.  Bus transportation will be provided from the elementary schools to Frost MS for this event.

Preparing Students for the Transition to Secondary Mathematics

Parents interested in additional information regarding the sequence of math courses and discussion regarding mindset, and a student's algebra readiness. Presentation by David Van Vleet (MS Math Specialist) and Jennifer Allard (HS Math Specialist).

Frost Family Festival

All rising 7th grade students and their families are invited to come to Frost for this event hosted by the PTA.  There will be school tours provided by our student ambassadors, classroom demos, table displays and other activities that provide a view of the middle school life.

Course Selection Sheets are due to Elementary School Counselors

Please make sure that you have reviewed and signed your student’s course selection sheet.  Staffing decisions are made in March based on the course selections made on these sheets. Any requested changes after this time will be based on availability of classes.

Self-Guided Tours

Rising 7th and New 8th Grade students and families will have an opportunity to walk through their new schedule. This is not a structured event, but an additional opportunity for new students to get to know the building and practice lockers..
